The Municipal Authority of Almopia, since the summer of 2021, has started the implementation of the integrated program for the management of empty pesticide packaging, providing a solution to a chronic and dangerous phenomenon. 83 new red bins for the disposal of empty packages of pesticides, were received and placed in Aridea,  in almost all the communities of the Municipality.

Plastic packaging of pesticides are characterized as hazardous materials due to their content, with agricultural waste accounting for a large percentage of total waste production in our country.
